Who We Are
Friday, 17 February 2017
Heron Tree is an online poetry journal; we aim to post a poem weekly, and each year’s poems will also be available in a collected volume. Volumes 1-4 were collected in print editions; beginning with volume 5 we’re moving to an ebook format for the annual publication.
Volume 5 will be edited by Carol Berg, Matthew Burns, Chris Campolo, and Rebecca Resinski.
Carol Berg is the author of Her Vena Amoris (Red Bird Chapbooks), Ophelia Unraveling (dancing girl press), and The Ornithologist Poems (dancing girl press). Another chapbook, The Johnson Girls, is forthcoming from dancing girl press. Her poems are forthcoming or in DMQ Review, Kentucky Review, The Journal, Spillway, and Pittsburgh Poetry Review. Carol lives in Groton, Massachusetts, and works as a writing tutor at Pine Manor College. She blogs sporadically at carolbergpoetry.blogspot.com.
Matthew Burns is an assistant professor of liberal studies at SUNY Cobleskill. His poems have appeared in North American Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, Quiddity, ellipsis…, and Memoir (and). He lives in upstate New York.
Chris Campolo and Rebecca Resinski are the founders of Heron Tree Press and teach at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. You can read an interview with Rebecca conducted by Carol Smallwood at The Bookends Review.
The site is hosted by Dreamhost and uses the Apricot WordPress theme created by Oliver Baty. Murray Resinski is a technical consultant.
