For the next few weeks we’ll be sharing links which Heron Tree poets sent to us. We invite you to revisit their poems here on the site and then explore their work elsewhere, whether online or in hard-copy print. Enjoy.

Mark Jackley (“Reading in the Car in a Parking Lot at Dawn”) has a new chapbook, Appalachian Night, and he will give a copy to anyone who would like one! If you are interested, email him at chineseplums@gmail.com. You can read a review of his Every Green Word at Sugar House Reviews.

Ruth Foley (“On Finding a Clam Shell in the Pine Needles”) has a chapbook, Dear Turquoise, available from dancing girl press. If you follow this link, you can order a copy and read a sample poem, “Lying.” You could also read the July issue of Cider Press Review, where Ruth is the managing editor.

Bernadette Geyer (“Parable of the Great Outpouring”) is the author of The Scabbard of Her Throat, which can be ordered from The Word Works. You can read three of her poems at Redux, “Fire Ants Invade Hong Hock See Buddhist Temple,” “Remembering is Short,” and “Haunting.”

Lynn Pedersen (“Wilson’s Warbler” and “A Catalog of What We’re Not Meant to See”) is the author of two chapbooks: Theories of Rain, available from Main Street Rag, and Tiktaalik, Adieu, available for pre-order from Finishing Line Press.

Paul Scot August (“Driving Home, Just North of Chetek”) provided a link to three poems of his recently published by Connotation Press: “Leaving Chetek on Sunday Night,” “Two Bedroom House for Sale in Chetek, WI,” and “The Ice Finally Goes Out on Lake Chetek.” Paul also has two poems in the latest issue of Stoneboat; it’s a print journal, but you can look at the contributors in the issue and order a copy.
