“How the wind will”

J. A. Lagana created “How the wind will” from Letters of a Radio-Engineer to His Son by John Mills (1922). Please click here to read.

About the poem and the process of composing it, J. A. Lagana writes:

This poem was created from “Letter 21: Your Receiving Set and How to Experiment.” A word bank was created from a randomly chosen, yet consecutive, section of paragraphs. This poem began with a consideration of the word “winding,” which I internalized as “wind-ing”—as in the wind doing its thing. I could not help but think of recent tornados that have caused such destruction.
