“Gratitude Cento”

Deborah Purdy created “Gratitude Cento” from lines of poems by Sophie M. Almon-Hensley, William Cullen Bryant, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Lowell, Emma Lazarus, James Whitcomb Riley, William Butler Yeats, and Edgar Guest. Please click here to read.

About the poem and the process of composing it, Deborah writes:

Using public-domain-poetry.com as a source, I first chose poets and compiled lines from a few of their poems. I then selected lines (one from each poet) that seemed to work well together and used those to piece together the stanzas of the poem.
